1. Our approach
We keep tracking to a minimum, and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking at all. The site includes our own first-party visit measurement which, in its basic form, stores nothing on your device and cannot recognise you from one day to the next (details in section 5). Everything beyond that, including our return-visit ids, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity, stays switched off until you say yes in the cookie banner. You stay in control at all times, open Cookie settings (the tab on the left edge of the screen) to change your choice whenever you like.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, which we use to remember your consent choice. Under the EU ePrivacy rules and the GDPR we need your consent for anything that is not strictly necessary. We remember your consent choice for up to 180 days, then ask again.
3. Categories you can control
| Category | On by default? | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Always on | Makes the site work and stay secure, remembers your cookie choice, and powers the booking calendar. |
| Preferences | Off until you allow | Optional embeds and saved settings. We do not currently use any. |
| Analytics | Off until you allow | Two random ids that let our own measurement recognise your visit across pages and return visits, plus Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. |
| Marketing | Off until you allow | Advertising tools. We do not currently use any. |
4. The specific items we use
| Name | Category | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
cc-consent-v1 (local storage) | Necessary | Remembers the cookie choice you made so we do not ask on every visit. Kept for up to 180 days. |
| Booking widget (links.brevibot.com) | Necessary | The embedded booking calendar that powers the "Book a call" buttons. It is served by our scheduling platform (LeadConnector / HighLevel) and may set functional cookies needed for the calendar and payment step to work. |
| Cloudflare | Necessary | Our hosting and security provider may set short-lived cookies to protect the site from abuse. |
bt_sid (session storage) | Analytics | A random id for your current visit so our own measurement can see the pages of one visit together. Created only after you allow Analytics; it disappears when you close the tab and is deleted if you withdraw consent. |
bt_vid (local storage) | Analytics | A random id that recognises your browser if you come back later. Created only after you allow Analytics; deleted if you withdraw consent. |
_ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics) | Analytics | Aggregate statistics about visits and pages. Loads only after you allow Analytics, and only if analytics is active on the site. |
_clck, _clsk (Microsoft Clarity) | Analytics | Anonymised heatmaps and session insights. Loads only after you allow Analytics, and only if Clarity is active on the site. |
5. Our own visit measurement (cookieless)
To improve the site we measure how visitors move through it: which pages are opened, how far a page is scrolled, which buttons and links are clicked, and how long a page stays open. This measurement is built by us and is strictly first-party: the data goes only to our own infrastructure, and no advertising or third-party company receives anything.
In its basic form it is cookieless. It stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it, and each record is anonymised the moment it arrives: we keep a one-way, daily-rotating hash instead of your IP address, the same technique as our proof-of-consent records. It cannot recognise you from one day to the next and it cannot follow you to other websites. Because it neither stores nor reads anything on your device, it sits outside the cookie-consent requirement; we keep it minimal and anonymous regardless.
If you allow Analytics in the banner, the two ids from section 4 (bt_sid, bt_vid) are added so we can also understand return visits. Withdrawing consent deletes both ids immediately.
6. Proof of consent
When you make a choice in the banner we record the decision itself (what you allowed or declined, when, and the policy version shown) so we can demonstrate compliance. This record is anonymised: we store a one-way, daily-rotating hash instead of your IP address, so the record cannot be tied back to you beyond the day it was made.
7. How to change your choice
- Open Cookie settings from the tab on the left edge of any page.
- Withdrawing consent stops the tools on your next page load.
- You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
